Kelis always brings the fiyah when it comes to her hair and sense of style. I'm glad that she's finally getting credit for being one of the first ladies to bring back the short 'do this time around. Keep up the good work, B!
Kelis is truly amazing! No other black female artist can touch Kelis's sense of style & hair. She's such an innovator. I cannot wait for the new music to come!
This was a cool album to look at. I always thought she killed it, when she came on the scene with the short do. Way before Rihanna, She is always daring with her haircuts. Unfortunately, she does not have the mainstream appeal, or the right PR to really push her out there.
It's a shame because she is a modern day trendsetter.
Trendy is short, Fashion is long, Style is forever.
I don’t know who to attribute the above quote to, but dang if it ain’t true. It’s exactly why I named my blog People.Places.Things. Style is bigger than gray being the new black or flats being all the rage in Milan. Style can certainly encompass those things but it’s also the type of stationery you choose to write on, the restaurants you dine in and why you’d rather stay in a bed & breakfast over a Holiday Inn.
From random musings on those fierce hat wearing church ladies we all adore to "breaking news" updates on your favorite boutique or designer -- it's all here at PPT. So whether you're a frequent guest or just passing through, I hope you are moved by something. Don't forget to leave a comment if you are (or aren't).
I’m a bit late with the whole blogging phenomenon - I am notorious for having delayed reactions. Hopefully, this outlet will further help me hone my skills as a writer, release some tension and provide y’all with some good reading every now and again.

Quote of the Year:
"Today I say to you that the challenges we face are real. They are serious and there are many. They will not be met easily or in a short span of time. But know this America: They will be met."
-President Barack H. Obama, January 20, 2009
A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words
Currently On My Wish List
This is more like a personal mandate than a wish. I will do something positive, perhaps donating my time in some capacity, to at least one young person that I don't know this holiday season.
